THE YAMAHA DKC-900 UPGRADE
If you own a Yamaha Disklavier MK IV or a Disklavier E3, your piano can be upgraded to the fabulous Enspire system. This hardware upgrade allows you to run your Disklavier with a tablet or phone, among other great Enspire features.
DISKLAVIER SOFTWARE
The best site to find music for your Disklavier or hybrid piano is Yamaha Musicsoft but there are some “free sources” as well. One of these is called “Disklavier World” and it has thousands of public domain Classical and Christmas MIDI, FIL and E-SEQ files for your Disklavier or Hybrid instrument.
YAMAHA HYBRID PIANOS
Hybrid pianos are electronic instruments that contain a real piano action, preserving the actual feel of a piano while offering the advantages of a digital instrument. Unlike keyboards with “weighted actions” or mechanisms to simulate the aftertouch that gives the piano it’s distinctive feel under the fingers, the use of the same mechanism found in an acoustic piano coupled with transducers under the keys that transmit vibrations to the fingers in exactly the same manner as an acoustic piano, make hybrid instruments the ideal compromise between acoustics and electronics.

Another exciting addition to the Yamaha Hybrid line is the new “TransAcoustic(TM)” piano. This new piano combines the best of an acoustic piano with the advantages of an electronic piano. For those living in apartments or condos or who wish to have a piano they can play with headphones, there is the “Silent” series of grand and upright pianos.
