John Musselwhite, RPT, the owner and technician at Musselwhite Piano Services, is dedicated to the proper tuning and servicing of home, school, church and concert pianos. Our primary service area covers most of Southern Alberta. John owns and operates the Yamaha Piano and Hybrid Warranty Service Depot for Southern Alberta. He is a Registered Piano Technician with The Piano Technicians Guild Inc.(PTG) and a member of The Canadian Association of Piano Technicians (CAPT). 

I am pleased to announce that 2026 marks 46 years of quality piano services in Calgary for me and over 80 years of service to Calgary musicians since our family moved here. It also marks over 125 years of piano service in my family!

PLEASE NOTE: I am not accepting new clients at this time unless you have a Yamaha, Steinway, Bechstein, Kawai or other high-end grand or vertical piano. Our existing clients should not be affected by this change, but there may be a few upright pianos that I will no longer be able to service.

If you have tried to book an appointment and it has been returned with a “Reservation Declined” notice, please understand that there are some pianos I can no longer service. If you’ve been a client of mine in the past, I appreciate your loyalty and friendship over the years, but as I enter semi-retirement, my tuning appointments are quite limited.
